Can a self rimming kitchen sink be mount under the countertop?

I have a brand new self rimming Kohler Staccato 33 x 22 sink. We are now thinking about going with granite or solid surface. Is there some way we can mount this sink under the countertop? The sink is directly from Kohler, so I can’t return or exchange it. Thanks!
